A Race to the Races

On February 19, 2020 the announcement was made that James “Hinch” Hinchcliffe would join forces with Genesys and Andretti Autosport to step into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a shot at the milk in the winner’s circle of the Indianapolis 500

The announcement was a big relief to Hinch fans everywhere after he was unceremoniously deprived of a seat in an IndyCar for the 2020 season from the team he was contracted to through the end of this season. The news was delivered at a time when most seats and teams were secured for 2020 leaving few options. Never one to back down form a challenge, or the opportunity to race, James and his team hit the streets for sponsorship and a seat.

Make new friends, keep the old

California-based Genesys is a leading provider of cloud customer experience and contact centre technologies has stepped up to sponsor Hinch for three races of the 2020 season. The Indianapolis 500, the GMR Grand Prix and the Texas 600. This is the first foray into the world of IndyCar racing for Genesys.

Andretti Autosport will feel like a homecoming for Hinch where he spent three seasons from 2012 to 2014. Originally stepping into the seat left vacant by Danica Patrick, Hinch proved he could hold his own on and off the track in the GoDaddy car and commercials. In 2014 Hinch took on the United Fibre and Data (UFD) livery for the #27 car and piloted to eight top-10 finishes.
